Miracle Man

He had a heart attack at forty-four, a massive one that should have left him dead. In thirty years, the man had had one more. 'A wonder he's still here, ' the doctor said. He was a smoker when the first one came, but never smoked again beyond that day. His doctor said he couldn't be the same as he was before, and expect to stay. In hospital he saw a shining light, and there were people there to bring him home, but something that he said to them that night convinced them that his time had not yet come. At eighty-eight, he's on a bowling team, and bound to live forever, it would seem.
