Sittin' 'round The Campfire

There's nuthin' more relaxing, friend,
when day's work all is done,
than sittin' ‘round that warm camp fire
to setting of the sun.
We sing some songs that we all know,
and even some we don't.
You'd think the cows would criticize,
but we know that they won't.
Guitar's one thing that we can't bring,
though we all wish we could;
but Dutchy's mouth harp helps us sing;
it makes us sound quite good.
And we tell tales about the trails
that all of us have trod,
and wonder how long could we have
‘til we must meet with God.
This cowboy life is dangerous;
that's one thing we all know;
we work for years and get worn out,
with nothing much to show.
Yet I won't trade for anything,
no fancy suit and vest;
as I sit here with all my pards,
I think this life's the best!
