Things I Will Miss

There are many things I will miss when I return to the U. S. A. Beautiful temple, palm trees, delicious mangos falling all year round. Pineapple that tastes like it was made in Heaven and of course it was. Papaya so sweet it sort of melts in your mouth. Simply fantastic! Free bus rides for us old fogeys of advanced age. We do get around! In Recife, you can buy almost anything as far as foods go. Apples from Chile and some from Argentina and olives from Spain. Salsa from Texas, potato crisps from England, Pringles, New Jersey. Tomato juice, Spain, sweet honey from Italy, foods from all the world. I will also miss lizards in the flower beds as fast as lightning. Little Bem-Te-Vi*, black and grey and also white, searching for insects. Tropical climate. Summer weather all year long. Never gets too cold. Colorful dresses and skirts the women wear here, and blouses as well. But absolutely I will miss these wonderful people most of all.
