Dealt From A Deck

Dealt from a deck to play.
This game of life.
Whether to choose.
Or selected to witness.
Drawn from cards unknown to see.
By those of superior mentalities.
No one knew which cards were aces.
Or others spread had royal faces.
To learn and discover much later,
The value of cards picked.
And which had less risk to gamble with.
We all were dealt from a deck to play.
Not to know obstacles,
Coming our way to test and chase away.
Hopefully using faith to replace fear.
Breathing freely,
If even one to eliminate.
Life!
To choose it.
With birth to receive,
Leaving life a choice difficult to refuse.
Learn we do,
To become comfortable taking risks.
Since few had been given a master plan.
Or knew beforehand,
What it was expected of us.
Without looking over shoulders,
For hints or clues.
To discover what it was,
That attracted us to play.
And what was it we vowed,
To prove to do and promised.
