...and, these are the minds,
We have prepared for the future!
The only ones unable.
To identify a forest.
Although hike amongst the trees.
Are those with their cellphones.
Taking 'selfies' on a field trip.
And distracted easily.
Then ask their over qualified teacher.
Why they had been taken to a place.
To name the different trees in it.
With some of the students,
Repeatedly asking impatiently...
"We thought this trip,
You had planned was just 'for us? '
All we see are the trees.
Where is this 'for us' you promised? "
...and, these are the minds.
We have prepared for the future!
For us to depend upon and feel secure.
