After Sunset

Altın Yaprak
Evanescent black
perforated by light
hangs over my head.
Like suckling sunshine
moonlight runs on treetops
revealing their sway.
Breeze blown gently
puts Fall’s last leaves to rest
the trees become bare.
Squirrels dance like snakes
at the tips of one-leaf twigs
to feast on ancient bugs.
Moonshine's wisdom
glistens in owl's wide eyes
every mouse is chased.
Crickets' harmony
with bullfrogs' boom
hypnotize every man.
Flocking fireflies
impersonate the glorious sun;
night is almost done.
