Salvation

Salvation: (Eternity in Heaven with God) Salvation given for free To me: Me? I still don’t fully understand this. I see me every day: My thoughts, My actions, They’re not perfect – they mainly disgust me. I try And fail. In me, there’s no hope. This I was, A sinner I sin without knowing: I sin knowingly. I was made captive to sin. Sin had me caught in his trap Sin’s grip on me was strong Sin and I didn’t want to let go. God’s love is bigger than sin. God Oh: My God! He saw me caught up in sin, Saw me dark and filthy Saw me: unworthy Saw me, And loved me. Grace abounds. God’s grace: Takes me through life’s race. A race that in myself, I run in the wrong direction. God’s guidance: His word – for food The Holy Spirit – A friend His son, through his life – The perfect example God gave and provided all that is required to sustain. God’s gift Jesus! Oh, How I love that name. God’s son: Perfect, Obedient, and Sinless – Man’s hope, our only chance of something worthwhile! Saw my needs, Came and provided, Provided with his life - Such love. The laws, He kept. His Father’s request: His heart embodied. My sins, He carried. My place, He took. Did it all, and at the end, He gave me a gift: Salvation! With it: A sinner has forgiveness – He knew I could never be perfect. (When I fall, he picks me up) A sinner has hope; Hope of a life worth living. Hope of a better place than this wretched earth. My part: To believe, And Love. Love the God that first love me Love his son. Jesus, I just want to tell you thanks.
