To My Angel Love

The many ways the poem is written, Cannot tell of my love for thee. For to this love every form is formless And the syncing of our rhythms Creates a straight line, connecting, With no start, and with no end My heart to thine. And sweet music, With all of its melodious tunes, Is a mere clamoring to my ear, For the strings of a guitar do not sound As pristine to me, as the echoed hymn, Of the words, ‘I love you’ from thine lips, Nor can a thousand booming drums Send such shivers through my soul As that of thy fingers coming touch. My Love, in comparing perfect beauty, To thee, petals are but dried leaves, For though they’re fair, to thee all fails. And if I dug the mighty oceans, To garner its pearls, and all its riches Then summed their splendor to one Together their shine cannot please me, As thy smile, or the sparkle of thine eyes. Thus in my heart I build a home for thee That thou mayst rest in the velvety love Which it gives but to blanket thee in its warmth Providing dwelling for thee, for thee, my love.
