A soldiers life Silent tears i did cry when my true love said good-bye " they are deploying me to a war zone - I don't know when I'll be home " A soldiers life is one of pain, and so many People are feeling the same. Yet I will wait cause my love is strong and in my arms Is where you belong. In my dreams I see your face in the same familiar place. That is when you proposed to me underneath the big oak tree. This is a soldiers life, and I knew this when I became your wife. You joined to defend this land and I knew this when I took your hand This child that is on the way, kicks and fights every day When he hears " this land is our land " play.
