★ My Sincere Heartbeats ☆ Poetry and Translation by Luo Zhihai (China) The red sun rose in the east Masculinity Arose spontaneously I worshiped the sun In worship Grew sturdily Following the sun’s steps To find my forgotten hometown Hometown, provincialism and local accent Warm, exquisite and charming Straight paths crossed the fields Ditches clear Beautiful moods Did not have to turn in circles Straight to the green theme I enjoyed walking Dialogued with local accent Paid attention to the heavy spikes of rice Enjoyed flying and chirping birds And the joyful ballads The vibration of heaven and earth How handsome the day! From my heart I could not bring myself to leave In an unguarded moment I lost myself in a deep forest trail My head pillow a cool stone by the creek Listened to the soughing of the wind in the pines Forgetting myself My heart with falling leaves Rivaled the autumn wind.
