I was sitting on my terrace, A smile lit up my face. As I looked up Sipping tea from my blue cup. The sky was overcast, I don’t know when was the last Time I felt so serene and gay. It had to be due to the cool breeze, rare in May. In no time it started to pour, A tiny black bird came to rest at my door. It looked disheveled as it was soaked to the skin. I felt she was in some way my kin. The colors, shapes, capricious moods of nature Filled me with a sense of wonder. And I thought what fun the creator Must have had letting his imagination wander. After a hot April, the cool air was a treat, And I let my senses feast On the beauty around me, Isn’t it sad we are too busy to see That God is present everywhere, We just forget to stand and stare.
