A Frosty Silence

Near silence was felt all around The sky was a pale cold gray The ground was frosty white As though it were here to stay I was wandering around by myself My thoughts stood amazingly still As though the day was on pause It was just that kind of feel But I wasn't alone at all Ducks quacked at a nearby pond Birds flew from tree to tree Above my head and beyond Off in the distance I saw A couple of horses by a fence Frozen like statues they were Their muscles seem to be tense It was a day I'll long remember A day I spent with Mother Nature Like a scene in a Christmas card My mind will forever capture!
