Family Albums

It’s so fun to look through albums Of family, friends and such Most are not around now But some still keep in touch It’s all a part of history As life keeps marching on Nothing stands still forever Like an old and favorite song Oh look, they’re pickin’ cotton So very long ago It’s like a peek into the past A place that we’d like to go You might come across a clipping Of a political dispute Turning back the clocks in time It’s really quite a hoot Aw look, there’s a picture of Grandpa With a herd of his beloved cows And I’ll bet around the corner We’d find his horse and plow Yes, there’s nothing like those photos For all of us to see And someday our pictures too Will be just a memory!
