Father’s Day is here again And it sure does take me back I think about Dad and remember So many special facts A man that worked so hard To put food on the table each day He saw life as folks used to Yes, it was the old-fashioned way Whether in blue workin’ jeans Or a suit and tie for Sunday I was always proud of this man Many things I would do his way Out in the field on the tractor Was a wonderful sight for me If more fields were needed He sure could cut down a tree I can see that old hat perched Atop my dad’s head As he drove ‘round and ‘round The field till past time for bed He was stubborn and determined But I wouldn’t want it another way I thank God I have the memories That I have on Father’s Day!
