Let me pay homage. To the foreground and the all-important background, Equally exquisitely the same. Sure, as the light serves my eyes to see. Let me serenade the tendril stars spiralling in the darkness, The flowers and the bees are hiding- In their hiding places waiting to be seen. And a gilded spider on to his aching knees. Stitching the universe and all its twisted vines And fabric back together again. How he pleases. How he dreams of sewing up The world in its widening dew-lit seams. Let me paint the music of the world onto my canvas. The sound of a love-struck nightingale The bark of a barking owl Sharing a covenant of love In an evergreen Holm oak The world is turning red, yellow, and gold. A surrealist spectacle in a glowing warmth and light That in the end won't last in this effervescent beauty forever.
