I am amazed at your laughter and joy.
It is music to my heart to see
your eyes light up.
And your inner demons paraded and shot dead.
It is also music to my soul to see
your mood lifted beyond your control.
Pull all the shutters down shut.
There must be another candidate,
another candle shining in the night.
If I close my eyes even here now,
it glows like a billion atoms under my skin,
willing me to sing. Sure I've seen the light
a blind man only sees
when blindness is overcome.
