Half Ajar

Half ajar the window is open, Wearing your heart on your sleeve and face I look through and find the real you Framed in gold leaf, full of grace Here, here next to the lemon-lime trees I lose my own, culprit bitter mind Listening to the wind chimes Searching your eyes for what else I can find. Oh a clarion of morning bird song floods my mind And then you smiled. Like an elfish kings daughter sitting on his goldmine And then princely I too smiled back at you. Now my heart has been minted both sides With loves fleeting hammered beat, it fills my soul Half ajar the window opens both sides Now, now, my soul has-half-climbed heavenwards inside And like jasmine vines, we both entwined. And I took what was kismet mine all the time. Half ajar the window is open, But know I'll take one more what's mine. Fully-opened and wear my heart on my chest By those lemon-limes I'll be listening to the wind chimes Like one lucky elfish prince who found his goldmine And more I'll fall in love with you.
