Mockingbird heard you're singing across the lake. A vision of hope without a house or a home Mockingbird there's no fish alive in this here lake They were poisoned dead by a pesticide windblown Mockingbird the Kingfisher doesn't know what to do. Mockingbird the white owl, is crying and hooting every- day. Have some sympathy; please, less booboo. Mockingbird, what is wrong with you? Love and convulsions fill my heart with waves. I guess I am drowning between these islands. Lying in the morning, dew plummeting malaise With creatures, you shouldn't even fantasise. Mockingbird, don't you know there's a circle of life? Like a cobweb sleeping in the dark, dead night, ebony That will one day catch your soul. And never let you fly or let even you go. Mockingbird heard you're singing across the lake. A vision of hope without a house or a home But I still prayed for your soul. An end to all your woes.
