Oh! How silvery the clouds hail As heaven ships gloried to sail. Clear of storm berserk that does rail. Once as water upwards they scale To the sky bluish broad they veil. Oh! How silvery the clouds stay Blossoming, as with zest they may, With gleam to twine in their pride gay, Like so in Halleluiah's day When hues of happiness they spray. Oh! How silvery the clouds skate In the sky which they animate To soundness that sure does inflate To the pleasure of goodness great As tenderness to emanate. Oh! How silvery the clouds taint Not the sky, but get it acquaint The whiteness of nature that does paint The splendid dwelling of a saint, Whose conduct worthy fails to faint. Oh! How silvery the clouds taste, Sweet to my optics to be placed With esteem at their features chaste. The clouds in whole look as one laced. Contours sublime my optics traced. Oh! How silvery the clouds gave For a viewing of the sun's trave Piercing through them like every wave Of the sea washing the beach to cave On its sand, its shape it did grave. Oh! How silvery the clouds raise Their charm full of wonders to blaze With joy that truly does amaze My optics to ascend with praise Of beauty that forms in each phase. Oh! How silvery the clouds make As the crown for the mount to take, With the snow all round as its cake. Resting at its foot is the lake, Where cleaning its quills is the drake. Oh! How silvery the clouds played A role relaxing as a shade, Alongside the sun's beam that rayed On some parts of the fields, the glade, The woods and the hill with light sprayed. Oh! How silvery the clouds claim The inwardness of beauty's name To set them up alight to flame. If time lets that they stay the same In whiteness where innocence came. Oh! How silvery the clouds gauge Their bodies upwardly they stage In emanation they engage. Vaporisation did manage Water to air in rite's passage. Oh! How silvery the clouds drape In the sky their base that does gape. From rivers, seas, they did escape To freedom vivid as the cape Pleased to face river that does crape. Oh! How silvery the clouds pace At motion replete with grace. Light beam from the sun's lustrous face, Touches the clouds thus it does brace Them to imbue perchance the case. Oh! How silvery the clouds gain In rank next the sun which does reign Supreme on an unworldly plane That speaks of eternity that is main By One who to it all, the Brain.
