Sonnet 58, I Cloud Not My Senses

I cloud not my senses, with dull destiny: The tiny flowers, in a light less night; What I know others could not perhaps see, For their roads ahead are still all on lightless. The seed in earth will grow on further still, And give tomorrows, of futures too bright; What lies in the night I know not now, until I'm guided back with the stronger of light. Like Romeo's and Juliet's fatal song, I play with my dreams and nightmares to come And whether they are fruitless - rightful, wrong, I know they will strike out - at least, there some. I'm a partaker in the game to live, And therefore I must continue to strive. From: 200 English Sonnets Vol 1,2,3 & 4
