Sonnet – Some Days Are Like Night

Some days are like night in the rising dawn With dreams that have gone into nakedness fields Where the hours of passing have stars like shields Slain flowers of earth in their night dressed gown The feelings inside are vast like oceans In deep of their roots and in their rising From love that's without any disguising The heart that pounders in its deep emotions There are no ways under life's lost winding That gives back again what has been lost Dreams in the fields in their windily grinding When the hours of end through daises crisscrossed Love songs that have cried shall be remembered still In the days of the coming - with the poet's quill
