My Death

My Death The sun of life sinks low in mournful waves, Its golden breath in fading arms dissolved. From ruin'd halls doth rise the sea-born god, As twilight sobs the song of perished dreams. Fled are the days of wayward, evanescent dreams, Where tattered thatch bowed bare to vagrant winds. Yet Aura's sigh still weeps upon my soul, As moonlight sighs the odes of silent time. A wandering witness, bound to naught but light, Where divine love pours into a silver stream. With vision bathed in Aurora's golden breath, To find Him mine, yet lost in Him forever. As silent years do veil the fading trees, The Elysian meads, once full of song, lie pale and lone, The dying sun sinks low in Tartarean shroud, And Lethe's embrace enfolds the weary soul. Like Orphic echoes, pain doth pierce me sore, The ocean wanes, and destiny fades into the way's embrace, To blend with earth, with tree and wandering cloud, O Stella, be my last sweet Eros' sigh and Philia's whisper. *************
