A Forgotten Father

I am the forgotten father Unto my child I am just a bother, Whenever I am around He can't ever be found. Whenever I need this or that or help I might as well ask my myself, Because, he is not ever there And I believe he truly doesn't care. He lives with me in my house Where I have no girlfriend or spouse, And whenever he leaves for the store or the county He never asks me. I am never first on his list To him I feel like a bothersome cyst, I am just a handy tool And by him I am always treated like a fool. He never uses me or treats me like trash Whenever he needs to borrow cash, And whenever he needs to borrow my car I then an indeed his superstar. He will always be my pride and my joy He is son my boy, Though he he uses and hurts me and makes me sad I am still proud to be his dad. Randy L. McClave
