All I Want

I don't really ask for much Just for air, my health and such, And if I needed to ever make a stand I never ask for another person's hand. I am not at all selfish or ever greedy So, I help the poor and also the needy, And I always give up my place in line So, a child would not have to whine. I never wish upon a lonely star Because dreams are always to far, And I was taught never ever to put myself first As I don't like being hated, or cursed. And when unto God that I pray It's never for me in the prayer that I say, I only truly ask for peace and love When I speak only to God, who sits above. For a woman I will always open the door For the elderly, I will help them do their chore, And if I ever take anyone out to eat It is always my pleasure, and also my treat. Now, I have a want and a need and a desire Which burns my heart like an open fire, My yearning and craving is wanting to ignite So, please God, let her come over tonight. Randy L. McClave
