Angels Amongst Us

The beggar that stood at your feet Could had been an angel walking the street, They are the poor and the unfed And them none, did you care to meet. The immigrants that you hate with your eyes They too could be angels in disguise, That is as the Bible has said; But, "they cannot be Angels"! Are the Devil's lies. The man that is standing way over there Wearing the ragged clothes with the long hair, He is the poor and the unfed At him we will point and laugh and stare. Amongst us all strangers are walking To God one day they will all be flocking, They are listening to all which is said; Angels are always talking. At the poor and the needy we will scream and cuss Greed, and war and walls we will patriotically discuss, The Bible has been quoted, but not been read There are Angels, that walks amongst us.
