Another Man's Shoes

I woke up in another man shoes I then got the blues, Then I looked in a mirror to see what I could see It wasn't myself looking back at me. Then I looked at the clothes that I was wearing I couldn't stop staring, Then I looked and I felt my clothes It wasn't the apparel that I would have chose. Then I looked and walked about the house I thought to myself did I now have a spouse, The house it now seemed so much smaller Maybe I was heavier, and I seemed taller. I was sad and depressed when I looked in the mirror Was that me and am I really here, Then I walked around and investigated the bedroom This must be me and my life I then did assume. As I walked and investigated me and my dwelling I then began hearing cursing and yelling, I didn't like how I looked or how I felt where I was There was no joy, I was depressed and I felt no love. Myself I then began to pinch Waking up from this dream should be a cinch, Was I asleep or was I awake Or did my conscience reality finally did take. I thought was this a dream or maybe a nightmare Then I clasped my hands to God to say a prayer, I wanted to go back to my bed and take a snooze; I woke up in another man's shoes. Randy L. McClave
