Bad Role Models

We teach our children to wear a seatbelt Hoping that it might save their life, We worry how the cards of fate are dealt So, we do our best to protect and to remove their strife. We take our children to church Way before we enroll or take them to school, We teach our children of Jesus and their own search School is just designed to make them prepared and not a fool. We teach our children to always wear a life jacket Whenever they are ever on a boat, And even to carry a flare in their waterproof packet Even though they can swim, tread water or float. When they are born they are seen by the doctors And then for years we take them to get their medicine and vaccines, We then become their advisers and their lawyers And we treat them as great kings or queens. Whenever we think that our children might have a fever We then don't want them around anyone with a cough or a cold, In us they become the greatest believer As we hope to watch them mature and also grow old. We always bundle our children up with winter clothes to wear So, we know that on the outside they'll stay warm, And then every night for them we always say a prayer And we always protect them during every storm. We teach our children to obey all laws We don't ever want them to go to prison or jail, And we want them to always follow Jesus's teachings written on God's walls We want our children saved, and not destined to Hell. Now we give our children pop or fast food to eat And we don't ever take them to church or even to a gym, And then as a reward we always give them candy or toys as a treat Then we proudly smoke and drink alcohol in front of them.
