Do my ears really work
Or are they there just for show,
Was she really calling me a jerk
That I don't truly know.
Is she again mad at me
Because I didn't answer her question,
Or to her did I become a emotional absentee
In a time of rebuttal or depression.
Is she saying that I don't pay attention
While waiting for a "yes" or "no" nod,
Once again is she saying that I don't listen;
Wait, let me first adjust my ear pod.
