Deadly Defiance

The end of the world is soon coming Because in science we didn't listen, The pipers are piping the drummers are drumming The sky is dark and the rivers no longer glisten. We mocked and laughed as we polluted daily, Now at the funeral there's just a ukulele. We were told to wear a mask and take a vaccine But, that request many did ignore, So, we instead smoked, ate processed food and drank caffeine For our own well-being we scream about and roar. But, we will not take a shot for our safety and health, No matter of our family, position or wealth. The end of the world is coming and we are dying And that death of all is just a defiance, The world and the elderly and the children are crying Because we wouldn't believe in the truth, from science. The pipes were played and so was the drum, We are now buried 6 feet under, without any freedom. Randy L. McClave
