I Still Don't Have A Girlfriend

Though I have been around the bend I still don't have a girlfriend, For awhile I haven't dated, to loneliness am I fated Nowhere for my love to send. I miss a woman's talk and touch And her scent and her walk and the such, Just for a night, to have a woman in my sight My soul knows that's not asking for to much. There is that woman way over there One for which who I thought I did care, Whenever I was needed, her words I heeded Now her time for me she can't spare. Out my window I look at the barren trees Nowhere is there the birds or the leaves, Winter has began, for the world and this man Nature, like her is such an awful tease. There is no woman for me to open the door Nor her for me to compliment on the clothes she wore She is not there, so with a smile I can stare And sadly, that special woman for me to ask for. So, I guess I will sit at home and I will wait Just to take her out on a date, But, if she doesn't call, I know that I will fall Only God, will then then know my fate. Randy L. McClave
