In Poetry

In English we say, "you broke my heart" Then we will hold our grudge, In poetry we will say, "quietened went my heart" "All from a simple nudge". In English we will say, "I loved you" Then we will turn away in tears, In poetry we will say, "we once were two" "But, now only one voice my soul hears." In English we will say, "the end" Then we will turn around and walk away, In poetry we will say, "in the end" "Once my soul was alive, now I pray". In English we will say, "begone" Then we will begin to argue and fight, In poetry we will say, "you were the one" "Because of you I will write". In English we say, "it's all over" Then we will turn away and leave, In poetry we will say, "sadly it is all over" "Strange and sad how the mind does deceive ". In English we will say, "goodbye" Then never will we be heard from again, In poetry we will say, "our final goodbye" "Only God knows why and when". Randy L. McClave
