Love Letters

Love letters in my drawer All tattered, stained and tore, Given to me a long time ago By a woman whom I loved so. A woman whom I truly did adore. I read those letters once again In my heart there's a glow as I grin, She tells me why she only loves me As her eyes are finally opened to see. I had set her soul free. She loves me more than any other man She loved me as much as a woman can, For our love she will fight Stains of her tears I see as she did write. And our love, she would never ban. Love letters she wrote in a book Once again at them I do look, Of our adventures and our love together Of our life and then our forever. A oath of love for me she took. Her broken heart I did mend When my love to her I did happily send, I am so happy as I am flattered I squeeze the letter tighter, it gets tattered. Our love I know will never end. Love letters still in my drawer Once again one of them I have tore, When I remembered that she had cheated My soul was finally defeated. I want those love letters no more. Randy L. McClave
