Our Relationship

Hey God. You see this relationship that I am in This is where it does begin, Our goal is to build a loving relationship We wouldn't mind if you give us a tip. We want one that honors each other As we have honored both or father and mother, And most importantly which is true We want to always honor, You! We want a relationship that is healthy Not sick or detested or stealthy, We want one filled with affection and love And to you from Heaven above. Open the eyes of our hearts and show us the right direction So, we truly feel the affection, For this relationship please help us to develop As to each other we chose to step up. We want healthy communication and boundaries That protects our hearts and allows us to build what God sees, We want a healthy relationship as we grow closer together That accord we don't want to ever discard or sever. Unto you we also want to grow closer In our life as one we want you to be the composer, Help us to honor each other in this relationship we hold And let us have it when together we grow old. Help us to make decisions that won't haunt us If this relationship does not work out, help us discuss, I trust you to guide us and to not allow the fear of being alone To make us settle for something not meant for us as we moan. Surround us with wise people who can speak with wisdom and life To each other help us not to be cynical or dumb without strife, You always have permission to correct us in any area For your correction is our protection from hysteria. Lord, please take our hands and lead us the way As unto you we always worship and pray, In this relationship please help us feel the same Please, please as we pray in Jesus's name. Randy L. McClave
