Prayers At Night

As I say my prayers at night I say them not with fear or fright, I say them with both peace and love That comes upon me like a cooing dove. I ask God to please watch and protect my family Also my friends and neighbors that I might see, I ask him to watch over the ones who have done me wrong Those who have used me, and strung me along. As I say my prayers at night I say them with both joy and delight, I always thank God for blessing me As I say my prayers, upon a bended knee. I don't lie or cheat nor will I deliberately ever hurt anyone No one will I ever judge or hate or ever con, Though some have hurt me just to make my life sad and grim But, because of God, I have forgiven them. As I say my prayers at night I say them for family, friends, even strangers in sight, Even the ones that hate me, for them I will say a prayer Because God had taught and told me to care. I remember the times that they made me smile And the many times that they were mean and hostile, God will judge us all, as the Bible does say So, tonight for them I will pray. Randy L. McClave
