She Was!

She was the love that I had sought For her I would had gladly fought, I knew that she felt the same, I was her flame Or, so I had thought. She was the woman of my dreams My happiness she was all the themes, She was my desire, she constantly did inspire She brought me true sunbeams. She was the reason why I had waited The reason why I was alone and never dated, She was the one, whose life I would proudly don I was so pleased and elated. She was the woman that I needed Adivice from family and friends I never heeded, On our first date, she called me her soulmate To her, my heart I happily conceded. She was the hope that I had always wanted In my dreams she had haunted, I woke up happily, with her always next to me I now could not be discouraged, or daunted. She was the woman of my prayers To whom I sent my emotions and cares, But in the end, her love and loyalty I should not had penned She is now the woman of my nightmares. Randy L. McClave
