Single Women

Single women don't really care As they say in their nightly prayer, When they go to bed all alone As they wish and then they sadly moan. They don't care if a man isn't tall They don't care if he is small, And they don't care if he's thin or fat They don't care at all about that. They don't care if he's not rich And they don't care if he's digging a ditch, They don't care if he's bald Or being hairy he is always called. They don't care if he's called ugly Or if he doesn't like to be snugly, They don't care whatever he drives Or how to her he arrives. They don't care from where he comes from Or if that he speaks with a different tongue, They don't care of his belief or his religion Not even one little smidgen. They don't care about his age In their life thats an unwritten page, They want someone to tightly hold When they get tired and old. Sadly they don't care if he's abusive They don't care if he's intrusive, They don't care if he puts them down Of if her feelings and beliefs he puts drown. They don't want to be an old maid As they have constantly prayed, They don't want to be known as a cat lady At the age of eighty. They want to stand in front of a minister They don't want to become a spinster And they don't care about a man's past or strife As long as one day she'll become his wife. Randy L. McClave
