Taking A Journey

With Jesus would you take a walk After you had heard him talk, Speaking to the woman standing at the well And then a forgiveness to her he did tell. Still with Jesus would you still follow, Or maybe his actions you couldn't swallow. With Jesus would you still walk his way When he told you to give all your possessions away, To give them to the needy and to the poor Because, you already had so much more. Would you had done what he had asked, Or would you just keep all that you had amassed. With Jesus would you had taken a hike So, like him you would belike, And those unto you which evil was done Would you forgive or would you want revenge from father to the son. Would you still seek not to avenge, Or would you always want to act on revenge. With Jesus would you take a stroll When he dined with someone who had stole, Would you hate to join them for dinner Would you just see him as a unforgivable sinner. And when you all sit and say grace, Would it just bring anger upon your face. With Jesus would you had ridden If he was with people that you thought should be forbidden, You heard it said, "love your neighbor and hate your enemy" Jesus said, "I was a stranger and you welcomed me". Would he be an enemy because of his color or where he came from, Or would you want him sent back from where he did come. Would you walk with Jesus proudly in front of others And would you proudly see them as your brothers, Remember, in the same way you judged you will be judged And from that decision God will not be budged. When you send them to hell because they are not like you or saved, I wonder, if your road to salvation had truly been paved. Randy L. McClave
