The Human Race

Look at my hands Then look at my face, Can you not truly tell That I am part of the human race. Count out my fingers Now look at my toes, I also have two eyes and two ears And only one nose. I was born here And you was born way over there, I was born where the sun is hot You were born where cold is the air. Cut me and I will bleed Give me too much to drink and I'll piss, I sleep when I am tired And every night my child I will kiss. I have only one heart And like you I have one brain, Sometimes we see the same scenarios But, we feel not the same pain. I have two kidneys And only one lung and one liver, I also have two arms and two legs To a hope and a dream, I am a giver. God created out of mud Then he filled it with his grace, We both are the same We both are the human race. Randy L. McClave
