The Rich Man

The rich man refuses to fight in our wars But, he wants us to buy in his stores, And then he wants us to idolize him And also treat him like a God by singing praises and a hymn The rich man wants to pay less taxes While on the beach or on his yacht he relaxes, While the middle class pays more than their fair share The rich man doesn't care. The rich man wants us to bail him out While he hates the poor and needy he will shout, And when he asks us for another dollar We jubilantly give it to him with a parade and a holler. The rich man wants us to riot and fight While his desires and wants he does incite, And he doesn't care if we go to jail or even die And long as we believe and support his needs and lie. The rich man will not ever make it to heaven Even he eats the bread which is unleavened, Because, he has never used his wealth to help anyone He just used it and others as a pawn. The rich man cares only for himself and his riches And all that he owns and his tailored made britches, To be a rich man I have never sought God bless me, as a rich man I am not. Randy L. McClave
