Unannounced

On my sentiments she quickly pounced When I showed up at her door unannounced, Even though someone else had knocked before And she had happily allowed them in her front door. She was happy to see me I thought at first But, when I got home her feelings turned worse, How dare I come to her house uninvited she did say So, she earlier had pushed me away. She said that she was not at all being mean But, at her door unannounced I better not be seen, Even though she has come to my house many times by surprise And everytime I was elated, with joy in my eyes. She had stood at her doorway protective like a sentry Refusing and stopping me from any form of entry, She said that she was sick and just tired as I stood in her yard Then I noticed and I thought, am I the only one barred.
