We Soon Will Be Dead

We soon will all be dead That is a truth said, But, when our body and soul is gone Our memories will continue on. The things that we have done and did Which many would still forbid, And then our dirty little deeds Which upon gossip feeds. People will then begin to speak Why we never turned the other cheek, And how we lived our life Either with a rose, or maybe even a knife. When we are no longer here Will it be accompanied with sadness or cheer, Maybe we should had said that we were sorry Instead of going on a hellbent safari. Then by our peers we will have our trial As we are seen far from the isle, And instead of any remorse or sadness Will there instead be joy and gladness. Soon we will all be dead And our obituary will then be read, Mentioning our parents, our children, a spouse or an ex Then we will be judged, as in this world also in the next. Randy L. McClave
