When He Was 18

When he was 18 He wasn't healthy enough to serve, And he wasn't strong enough or tuff enough or mean He was, but a coward, and he had no nerve. He had bone spurs the doctor had said So, he couldn't serve the military for our country, So, he crawled back into his sick bed And began counting all of his daddy's money. When he was 18 Our young men were being drafted, And many were enlisting at the scene Our young men and country he just used and shafted. His father and grandfathers never volunteered None of them never did serve, And of course of others they truly feared So, instead of becoming a Vet, he became a perv. Now he's 78 And he says he's the healthiest man ever, Even after never exercising and the unhealthy food he's ate No matter of no strenuous quest or endeavor. He is exhausted whenever he walks And he's tired when he gives all laborers a smirk, He's sleepy and incoherent when he talks So, how does all of that work? Randy L. McClave
