Wisdom With Wage

As old as I am I should have known more, But, I never did give a damn Maybe that is why I am still poor. Some say that life comes with a book That everyone should read, But, I was always too busy to give it a look So, the chapters I never did heed. Knowledge isn't guaranteed to arrive Just because you get older, You are now just happy to be alive As you have erred and are now much bolder. They've said to read your owner's manual Always from the beginning unto the end, As it is daily and not semi-annual Then the experience you can comprehend. I am not any smarter Than what I was decades ago, Sometimes I am that martyr From what that I do not know. Maybe I should just contemplate and wait As they say wisdom comes with age, Until then I will leave my decisions to fate Which is probably written on the very last page. Randy L. McClave
