‘Prosperity doeth best discover vice;
Adversity doeth best discover virtue.'
Observed Francis Bacon, a philosopher.
"Adversity sweet milk, philosophy'
Echoes Shakespeare in Romeo and Juliet.
‘Growth takes place only after pain is endured.'
Averred Socrates. Pain is efforts.
However, according to Somerset Maugham,
Adversity and sufferings harden
The mind of the people to become selfish.
The effect of the tragedy depends
Not so much on the happenings perse
But over the intense response thereto.
Adversity is a university.
