Man’s brain possesses
Manas, the mind,
Buddhi, the intellect,
Chitta, the subconscious,
Ahankara, the egoism.
Manas faces choices,
Buddhi makes selection,
Chitta does scrutiny
And ahankara approves or vetoes
Ahankara is the fiber,
Giving stiffness too life
In the form of selfishness,
The essence of existence.
