Shielding The Mind

Walking along, tee shirt and jeans, comfortable and at ease daily, listening to melodies going up and down in my mind. Gently taking me forward into clearings meant for con- templation and reasoning, centering and focusing on the meanings of life we're living. It takes many twists and turns on it's way to our end- ing of all breath and beating of hearts, shielding the mind hoping to protect it. Devastating situations in and through the years caused us to walk alone, yet walking wearing tee shirt and jeans, still comfortable and at ease daily, never giving credence to any part of it's motion.
