A poem that can lift you
From the banal haze
Of everyday fatigue,
A poem that can reach
Unimaginable regions
Made out of stained glass
And Universal Light
Becoming, Life's own seed,
Emotionally free
Where feelings meet
And become a living part
Of life, itself.
A poem that can
Carry you away
And in that trance
Forever, with you stay
A poem that becomes a
Cornucopia of memories,
And yes, a part of you
Like the transparent
Drop of morning due
Kisses the Rose
Before it disappears
Yes, your poem.
Has to be
Because life must have
Some poetry
In order to survive,
The trauma, tribulations
Of our fragile, tinsel lives.
