If only,
The imaginary
Could come true.
If only,
The love you feel
And felt,
Could be renewed.
If only,
We could go back
Into the past,
Relive the love,
We so briefly had.
If only,
I had met you,
Long ago,
I would have loved you more
Than you will ever know.
If only Poetry,
Could express
The way I feel,
You would not be
Just a shadow,
But so very real.
If only we'd had met before,
I never would have asked for more.
