That last goodbye
How sad it was!
The one so hopeless,
Even sadness, cried
And something,
Quite intangible,
Left life,
And simply died.
He who's never loved
Would not, could not
Ever know
The cutting pain,
The total meltdown
Felt!
As Life's breath
Escaped
And seemed
Totally in vain,
While everything
Around us
Turned to stone
Unable to resist
This pain, unknown
And thereafter
The slightest Life
Sustain.
