I write and cannot write-
I dream and cannot dream-
I hope and cannot hope-
I am lost and more lost,
Sad and more sad
Why?
The light of this world
Will one day cease to shine
For all of us-
Nothing I do or you do
Will change this.
I write and cannot write-
I am sad too much-
Life goes on-
Soon I will go out the door
To morning prayer-
There is still light,
But the days are growing shorter.
